Ingraham baselessly accuses ACORN of voter fraud.

Last night while railing against President Obama’s stimulus plan, talk show host Laura Ingraham claimed that the group ACORN. committed voter fraud during the election.  While it is true that some ACORN employees were found to have falsely registered voters, there is no evidence that ACORN encouraged it’s employees to do so. In fact, the fraudulent registration that took place during the election has been attributed to low-wage workers trying to get paid for work they didn’t do. ACORN has not been charged with masterminding anything but legitimate voting practices.

So according to Laura Ingraham, because a small amount of ACORN’s employees (ACORN employs nearly 800,000 people) fraudulently registered voters, the whole organization is corrupt. And for the purposes of voter fraud, voter fraud is only committed when someone tries to vote providing false information. Perhaps Laura Ingraham should ask her friend Ann Coulter about the definition of voter fraud.

Let’s apply Laura’s logic to her own life: Bob Torricelli is corrupt, therefore anyone he dated has to be corrupt too.
