Ingraham Makes Ridiculous Claim About The Morning After Pill.

Shock pundit Laura Ingraham is at it again. This morning on Fox News, Ingraham made the following comment about the Obama Administration’s decision to drop age restrictions on the sale of the morning after pill, “It’s a good deal for pedophiles, a good deal for people who commit statutory rape against young girls. If mothers and fathers across this country hear this, and they think, ‘Well, I guess my daughter or her boyfriend or her rapist can go out to a pharmacy and get a bunch of, you know, hormone pills to give a little girl’… We don’t really know the effect of a spiking or dropping a little girl’s… in many cases a young woman’s or a little girl’s hormonal levels. It’s outrageous!”

Of course, Ingraham is wrong, ” As Katie McDonough pointed out over at Salon in May:

This line of argument is not based in reality: forensic investigations do not require a pregnancy to confirm an assault and women’s bodies are not incubators for evidence in rape cases.”

Rapist will attack someone because they want to, not because there is a morning after pill that will hide the evidence. In addition, “Women’s health experts have long supported universal access to the morning-after pill. Nancy Northrup, CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, said of the administration’s reversal that she was “pleased that women should soon be able to buy Plan B One-Step without the arbitrary restrictions that kept it locked behind the pharmacy counter when they needed it most urgently.”

Ingraham Claims Mexicans will Make America a “Hellhole.”

According to Laura Ingraham, “true Americans are white, Christian, and conservative.” The inclusion of Mexicans into our society will decline our culture, because the white Christian culture is superior. Ingraham’s comments display, once again, deep-seeded racism. She believes that Mexicans are disgusting people and should not be allowed in this country. They do not contribute to this society, they just siphon our resources. This is pretty much what Laura Ingraham has said over the years.

The good news is, however, racists like Laura Ingraham are slowly losing their power. They are fearful of a country that is less white, because it jeopardizes their power.

Whether immigration passes or not, the country is still becoming more and more like a melting pot, with racists like Laura Ingraham becoming more and more irrelevant.

Laura Ingraham Links Boston Attack to Illegal Immigration.

We often hear from right-wingers about how irresponsible it is to link anyone, or group, to an act of terrorism before all the facts are known. Conservatives have been taking to the airwaves for the past day or so decrying attempts to link right-wingers to the attacks in Boston. Then comes Laura Ingraham.

Today, on her not so popular radio show, Laura Ingraham suggested that the Boston terror attacks could have been perpetrated by someone here illegally. After trying to goad a congressman into turning the incident into a political attack, Laura made the following statement: “It is interesting that at this moment, we are considering legalizing or giving regularized status to millions of people,” she said. “Pretty much none of them have gone through any rigorous background checks.” These people are of course illegal immigrants who cross the border in some cases from Mexico, or perhaps overstay their work visa. These are the same people Ingraham has been demonizing on her radio show for years. For example, Ingraham has used isolated incidents like the Newark 2005 massacre, or the killing of border patrol agents to cast aspersions on those here illegally. She has also continually made the argument that illegal immigrants have been a drain on our society- by overcrowding our school system, or by getting in-state tuition.

We shouldn’t be surprised by the racism of Laura Ingraham. We should however note that illegal immigrants are not committing acts of terrorism. On the other hand, certain aspects of this case are consistent with previous acts of right-wing terror, but to Laura Ingraham, there is no such thing as terrorism committed by the true white Americans she has praised in her previous books.

Below is a quote from Laura Ingraham in reference to a 10 year on-going program of American companies manufacturing border patrol uniforms for U.S. border patrol agents.

INGRAHAM: If they’re made down there, presumably they could be stolen down there. And we know what happens in insider attacks in Afghanistan where we’ve lost incredible men who have donated and served this country so proudly.

Ingraham is attempting to fuel a right-wing myth that illegal immigrants entering from Mexico will steal border patrol uniforms and then attack U.S. border patrol agents. Ingraham and other right-wing pundits have pointed to instances of Taliban fighters stealing Afghan uniforms to attack U.S. soldiers. However, no such events have occured on the U.S./Mexico border. Ingraham is attempting to conjure up fear surrounding illegal immigrants. She is essentially comparing them to the Taliban fighters.

Surprise, surprise! Laura Ingraham, one of the most racist pundits to ever fester on television or radio, welcomes a confirmed hate group to attack the organization that tracks hate groups. Only on Fox News and right-wing hate radio.


The following is from Media Matters dot org On the March 8 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, Dane attempted to discredit the SPLC as a "far-left political attack machine" and compared the SPLC's activism to McCarthyism. Before the segment was over, Dane denied the very existence of hate groups, claiming that while hate crimes are real, "a hate group is a concoction, an invention of the politically-left Southern Poverty Law Center." FAIR has a history of holding rallies where immigrants are smeared as "disease-ridden" criminals. One FAIR event featured a guest who had threatened, "We should hang you and send your body back to where you came from." FAIR also has close ties to the White Nationalist Council of Conservative Citizens and has received over $1 million in funding from a white supremacist group. According to the SPLC, FAIR is "the most important organization" in a network of 13 hate groups founded by John Tanton, who once warned of a coming "Latin onslaught."

As if Laura Ingraham couldn’t be more misinformed, juvenile, and hypocritical, she comes up with this gem. We’ll start on the hypocrisy. It wasn’t more than a few days ago that Ingraham condemned “feminists” for their lack of outrage for what she considered misogynistic jokes about women at the Academy Awards. But yet here she is using battered women, a serious problem in America, to attack the press for alledged bias towards the Obama administration.
The idea of Laura Ingraham accusing the press of being prostitutes for the current administration is laughable when you look at Ingraham’s history. This is the same corporate-paid shill that met with Bush to discuss ways to sell the Iraq war to the American people. This is the same lady who is sponsored by corporate groups like the Chamber of Commerce, the same group that determined Bush’s economic policies, as they have done for just about every Republican administration for the past 30 plus years. In addition, the Bush Administration secretley met with oil executives, war contractors, and other vested interests without a peep from corporate-shills like Ingraham.
Ingraham is so blatantly misinformed about the media, it’s ridiculous. She makes her living by convincing her low-information listeners that somehow the media in America is liberal. This is laughable when you look at how the media is structured as a whole. Someone should tell Laura: the media is as liberal as the corporations that own it. The six major corporations that consist of our media make their profits through giving airtime to shills like Laura Ingraham who push anti-union, derregulation, supply side propaganda. This is the same propaganda that convinces ordinary Americans that these policies are beneficial somehow to us all.  All one has to do is look at the relationship between Ingraham’s sponsores and the media to determine just how liberal the media is.
On the juvenile front, Ingraham takes the cake. As do many right-wing pundits, Ingraham continues to use juvenile attacks to attack people and institutions she does not like. For example, a few years ago during the health care debate, she compared Speaker Nancy Pelosi to a prostitute. She on many occassions has insulted the physical appearance of people like Barbara Boxer, Megan McCain, Hilary Clinton, and just about everyone else that doesn’t fit her corporate agenda.

Last night while hosting the O’reilly Factor, confirmed racist Laura Ingraham (see the “Laura The Racist” section) featured a “story” about two African American brothers who may have murdered a 12-year old white girl for her bike parts. Ingraham’s underlying argument is that the media is biased against whites. The media covers for the menancing black men who victimize innocent white children. Ingraham even went so far as to post a Willie Horton style photo of the two brothers on her Twitter page. 
As I have said on my radio show, Fox News is officially a white rights network, so we can expect this type of racial nonsense, especially from someone like Laura Ingraham. However, what is even more egregious is the fact that Ingraham is using a deceased 12-year old girl to make a political point about the media. The story wasn’t about the murdered young girl. It wasn’t about the case itself; instead it was a two-fold attack: The media and blacks in America.
