Ingraham Thinks Raising Taxes on The Rich is Demonization.

I wonder what Laura thinks of Governor Rick Scott’s plan to drug test the unemployed and welfare recipients. Or how about the billions of dollars that have been cut to programs that benefit the poor and working poor? What about the elimination of collective bargaining rights? Obviously Laura has never looked at a federal budget deficit. What see fails to understand is that if we don’t raise taxes on the rich, we will never have a balanced budget. Ever since Ronald Reagan lowered the marginal taxes on the wealthy from 74% to 28%, we have had trillion dollar deficits, along with a bubble and bust economy. Historically, tax rates on the rich have been well over 70%.

Just a little piece of advice for you teabaggers out there: Don’t listen to a multimillionaire from Glastonbury Connecticut when she says don’t raise taxes on the rich. Lowered taxes on the rich equals suffering for everybody else.

Mediaite Again Posts Another Segment of Ingraham’s Show.

Our last poll revealed that 75% of those who responded believe the site Mediaite is a conduit for Laura Ingraham’s trashy radio show. Mediaite continues away with their promotion of Ingraham’s show, this time, they post a clip of Laura Ingraham bashing NPR.

Below is a quote of Ingraham provided by Mediaite.

NPR deserves what it gets. NPR did this to itself. It was incredibly biased, it was sneering toward the people supposedly in the rural communities who only listen to NPR. I can tell you what the people in the rural communities are not doing with their free time: listening to NPR. NPR is the favorite place, broadcasting arena, for the elites in the United States

As usual, Ingraham is completely wrong, and a hypocrite to boot. First of all, NPR has more listeners than right-wing talk radio combined. NPR reaches every community across America, including many rural and Native American communities.

Secondly, the thought of Laura Ingraham calling anyone else an elitist is laughable. This is the same lady who grew up in Glastonbury Connectitcut, one of the richest towns in that state. This is the same lady who lives in a gated community in Washington D.C. This is the same lady who was served by Oprah’s chef at the 2008 Democratic Convention. (Ingraham also enjoyed on-site Yoga with the likes of Mika Brezinski and others) This is the same lady who had dinner with Mitt Romney at the Charlie Palmer Steak House in D.C. Hey Laura, I bet many of the people in the rural communities can’t afford to have dinner with Mitt Romney. Ingraham has also hung out with Joe Biden while at George Will’s house.

Ingraham fans: Don’t believe this lying hypocrite.

A Poor Person From Glastonbury Connecticut?

If its one thing I hate about Connecticut conservatives like Ingraham, Breitbart and Ann Coulter, its that they bash the poor constantly. Laura Ingraham is known to call homeless bums on her show. Coulter and Breitbart have made similar statements in the past. With Coulter and Breitbart, there has been no attempt to hide their priviledged past. With Ingraham, however, there seems to be an attempt by her and others to do so.

It should be noted that Laura Ingraham grew up in Glastonbury Connecticut, a town where the average income as of 2000 was 100,000. Ingraham frequently tells her callers that she knows what it’s like to struggle because her mom was a maid and waitress. Now my question is, how in the world did someone struggle grewing up in one of the wealthist towns east of the river, having a father for a lawyer (Eric Altermann), and went to an Ivy League school? It doesn’t make since. It’s simply a narrative put forth by Ingraham to appear regular. O’reilly has done the same thing, too. He’s lied about where he has grown up, and what his father did for a living. (O’reilly’s father was an accountant for an oil company)

Bottom line: Ingraham is a rich, elistist blueblood, who worships the mighty corporation and dollar.
