Laura Ingraham Slams MSNBC Hosts for Meeting with The President, even after she did.

As I have noted on my radio show several times, the hypocrisy on the part of the right-wing is astounding. Laura Ingraham has proven herself to be a right-wing partisan who most recently expressed her desire to see the GOP revive the Southern Strategy. She has critized Obama on everything from smoking (which she herself does) and eating a particular kind of mustard.

Since Ingraham’s declining radio show has been off the air and struggling to find a syndication company, she releases “newsletters” on her website. Today she criticized Obama for meeting with MSNBC hosts recently, even though she and other right-wing radio hosts met with President Bush in 2006.

Ingraham’s staff tried to cover up the embarassment by stating, “”Although I didn’t know Laura had visited the Bush White House with other conservative radio hosts, the circumstances of her meeting the president were quite different.” Of course, this is a lie: The New York Times noted that the 2006 meeting included discussions about the war in Iraq and Bush’s immigration proposals (both of which were under heavy debate at the time). The meeting also took place near the 2006 midterm elections and was reportedly part of a Republican campaign to persuade and energize supporters. Media Matters.

Laura Ingraham and the GOP Have Now Flipped on Immigration.

It seems that in the wake of the disasterous Novemeber 6th elections, the GOP understands that they can not win by demonizing illegal immirgrants. As a result, conservatives like Laura Ingraham are now singing a different tune when it comes to illegal immirgrants, the very people they have demeaned for years.

As Media Matters has noted, despite Ingraham’s call for a change in “The Language Of Dealing With Latinos….”, Ingraham has a history of demonizing such people:

Ingraham: 12 Or 13 People Are “Killed Under DUIs By Illegals” Per Day. On the June 6 edition of The O’Reilly Factor, guest host Laura Ingraham claimed that 12 or 13 people a day are “killed under DUIs by illegals”:

Ingraham went on to say during the segment: INGRAHAM: A lot of these people just say, you know, look, my kids’ school has crowded classrooms. Our health care costs are still ballooning. We just had this case just a few months ago in Chicago — this guy wasn’t deported. He ended up running over a 66-year-old insurance salesman — 66-year-old man dead because this illegal immigrant was not reported to ICE, and he was never deported. We have people killed all over this country. Girls raped, little baby girls raped in Escondido, horrible story over the last six months. What do you say to those families?

Like many conservative media pundits, Laura Ingraham believes a few bad apples are representative of a whole group of people. According to Ingraham, illegal immirgrants are bringing down our whole country. Our schools and health care system are a disaster because of these damm illegals. It’s similar in logic to the Ronald Reagan welfare queen myth.

Ingraham also did an entire segment on the O’reilly factor about how wrong George W. Bush was to pursue the immirgration reform he did, and how this is a cornerstone issue for the Tea Party.

Ingraham and the like only care about money and power. They realize that they have to convince hispanic voters that they are on their side, so they will lie and abandon their past positions.

Ingraham- The Only Person in America Still Defending the Bush Tax Cuts!

Tonight while filling in for Bill O’reilly on the O’reilly Factor, Laura Ingraham fasely claimed the Bush tax cuts led to the highest revenue in history. Of course, this is an obvious lie, considering George Bush’s presidency has given us nothing but debt. For example, when George W. Bush came into office, America was left with a surplus, and national debt of 5.6 trillion dollars. By the time Bush left office, our national debt was at 10.6 trillion.(not including the cost of the two wars.) It doesn’t take a genuis to see Laura Ingraham is obviously lying. I’d be willing to bet the Heritage Foundation, or some other right-wing institution came up with this lie. Below is the clip from tonight’s O’reilly factor.
