Ingraham Thinks Raising Taxes on The Rich is Demonization.

I wonder what Laura thinks of Governor Rick Scott’s plan to drug test the unemployed and welfare recipients. Or how about the billions of dollars that have been cut to programs that benefit the poor and working poor? What about the elimination of collective bargaining rights? Obviously Laura has never looked at a federal budget deficit. What see fails to understand is that if we don’t raise taxes on the rich, we will never have a balanced budget. Ever since Ronald Reagan lowered the marginal taxes on the wealthy from 74% to 28%, we have had trillion dollar deficits, along with a bubble and bust economy. Historically, tax rates on the rich have been well over 70%.

Just a little piece of advice for you teabaggers out there: Don’t listen to a multimillionaire from Glastonbury Connecticut when she says don’t raise taxes on the rich. Lowered taxes on the rich equals suffering for everybody else.

Laura Ingraham: Daughter of Connecticut Lawyer?

I found this article where Eric Altermann blasted Laura Ingraham. Altermann contends Ingraham does not have the right to bash liberals as elite, considering Ingraham grew up in Glastonbury Connecticut, and according to Altermann, had a lawyer for a parent.

Of course, Laura Ingraham would have her audience believe otherwise. At the mere mention of her background, Ingraham snaps, claiming her mother worked as a waitress- as if that’s suppose to mean Ingraham did not grow up in a wealthy household.

According to wikkipedia, the average income of a family living in Glastonbury Connecticut as of 2000 was 100,000. Additionally, Glastonbury is the richest Connecticut town east of the river.

It doesn’t surprise me that Ingraham and others are so insensitive to the plight of the poor. People like her and Ann Coulter grew up in the wealthiest of areas, had lawyers for parents, and benefited all around.
