Laura Ingraham Lying about Healthcare, Says Seniors Can be Forced to Hospice.

This reminds me of last year when Ingraham said she was worried that the government was going to go after her 86 year-old father. This so called “death panel” lie has been debunked over and over again. It even received the  lie of the year award from Politifact. However, this doesn’t stop Laura from using it. It’s ashame that this lady is on television trying to scare the daylights out of seniors. The notion that doctors will push seniors on to hospice, and deny major treatment to them, is laughable. For starters, doctors lose money by not treating patients, YOU IDIOT!!!

The good folks at Media Matters provided me with this. With all the desperate scare tactics like this, public opinion really hasn’t changed over the last month. Laura Ingraham has definitely been at the forefront of the attempts to scare seniors.

  • That same day on her nationally syndicated show, Ingraham stated, “Can you imagine — if I were doing Saturday Night Live, like, if I were producing it this weekend, and I was going to be fair about political humor, I would have a hospice chute — like a door, a trap door that goes into a chute where the elderly would just walk up — ‘Oh, my hip hurts.’ ” And all of a sudden you see this leg kicking granny down the chute, and that’s Obamacare.” After re-enacting “the next person [who] comes up” who also gets “kick[ed] down the chute into the hospice,” Ingraham concluded, “[S]ome will call them death camps, but this is the way Obamacare is gonna go for America.” The previous day, Ingraham similarly asserted that Obama’s “approach to health care reform” is “making sure people don’t live as long.”
